Welcome
to the Alveston badminton club website. We are a friendly, competitive club with around twenty members, based in the town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Our club nights take place on Tuesdays from 7.30-10pm (September - April) / 8-10pm (May - August) at
Stratford Leisure Centre. We are always open to new members of both league and club standard.
Membership
If you are interested in playing for Alveston badminton club you can
contact us through the website or come down as a visitor on club night. As a visitor you pay a court fee of £5 per evening. Membership for the season is £100 for adults. The season, during which league matches are played, runs from September to April. During the off season we run a summer club which is charged separately with a subscription of just £50.
League Play
We currently have mens, ladies and mixed teams in the Leamington league plus a mens team in the Coventry league. Home matches are played at Stratford Leisure Centre and start at 7.30pm. All home matches are played with Yonex Mavis 370 shuttles.
Juniors
Alveston Badminton Club have a thriving junior section with over fifty members between the ages of 7 and 17. Wacky Racquets (7-11 year olds) meet from 4-5.30pm every Tuesday at Stratford Leisure Centre for a fun introduction to badminton. For the more serious players aged 10-17 two further sessions are run on Tuesdays 6-7.30pm and 7.30-9pm, usually at King Edward VI school but sometimes at Stratford Leisure Centre.
